Rumoured to be a target several months ago [Metro], but were Di Maria to leave it could mean that interest would be revived. The 25-year-old managed 12 goals and nine assists in 44 games last season, displaying his obvious talent.
2) Antoine Griezmann, Atletico Madrid
A truly top-class forward, but it is debatable whether the Rojiblancos would let him leave the Vicente Calderon after just one campaign. Even so, the Daily Star has still linked the Red Devils.
1) Nicolas Gaitan, Benfica
Di Maria’s compatriot is a very similar player to the winger, known for his dribbling and crossing ability. As such the 27-year-old could be a great replacement for him, and the Daily Star have rumoured a move could be on.
