Liverpool transfer news

Liverpool could follow up their signing of Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke with a move to sign another world class attacking player, with three targets based in the Bundesliga believed to be the Reds’ main priority…

The Merseyside giants have already spent big this summer on players like Roberto Firmino, who joined from Hoffenheim for £29m, and it looks like manager Brendan Rodgers could try to raid Germany again for at least one of these three players…

1) Mario Gotze (Bayern Munich)

One of the best young players in the world, Germany playmaker Mario Gotze has not quite hit top form with Bayern Munich, and is said to be open to a move to the Premier League this summer, putting Liverpool on alert for the £30m-rated attacker.

2) Karim Bellarabi (Bayer Leverkusen)

Valued at around £11m, Liverpool could also look to strengthen out wide with the signing of tricky Bayer Leverkusen winger Karim Bellarabi, who enjoyed a superb season in 2014/15, also attracting interest from Manchester United.

3) Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Borussia Dortmund)

Finally, Liverpool are also in contention with Arsenal to sign £30m-rated Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who can play out wide or up front to good effect and who’d be a superb partner for Benteke at Anfield.
