Four Barclays Premier League youngsters hoping to impress during pre-season, including Arsenal and Manchester United starlets (Video)

Pre-season is often the chance for a number of youngsters to impress at their respective clubs and this summer has been no different as four highly-rated starlets in the Barclays Premier League have set about staking a claim for regular first-team football next season.

Take a look at the four potential stars of the future who will be hoping to shine in England’s top flight during the 2015-16 campaign.

Dele Alli – Tottenham

The highly-rated England youth prospect, who signed from MK Dons during the January transfer window, marked his first apperance for Spurs with a goal in the club’s behind-closed-doors friendly against Brentford on Wednesday afternoon.

Kelechi Iheanacho – Manchester City

Much of the headlines from City’s 2-2 draw with AS Roma at the earlier in the week surrounded Raheem Sterling, but it was the exciting young star Iheanacho who certainly impressed with a goal and an assist to give manager Manuel Pellegrini a selection headache ahead of the new campaign.

Andreas Pereira – Manchester United

In the midst of all the arrivals at Old Trafford this summer it has somewhat gone unnoticed that the 19-year-old signed a new three-year deal with the Red Devils in May and he scored his first goal for the club against San Jose Earthquakes on United’s pre-season tour of the United States.

Chuba Akpom – Arsenal

The England U20 international is close to a first team breakthrough at the Emirates Stadium after being handed numerous substitute appearances last season.

After signing a new deal with the Gunners in January, Akpom began pre-season in the best possible fashion with a hat-trick against a Singapore Select XI.
