Chelsea youngster signs new contract: Does deal put end to John Stones transfer hopes?

Stamford Bridge youngster has a Blues future.

Talented Chelsea defender Tomas Kalas has signed a new three year deal according to Sky Sports.

The deal could lead some to speculate that Jose Mourinho sees the Czech Republic international as a player with a long term future at Stamford Bridge which in turn could lead to speculation that the West London side won’t continue to push for Everton star John Stones.

The Toffees have already turned down one bid from Chelsea for the 21-year-old and some reports suggest the Premier League title holders may have to fork out as much as £34m to sign the England international.

Tomas Kalas has made just two Premier League starts for Chelsea and managed to impress greatly during his side’s 2-0 win at Liverpool in April 2014 on his debut and will spend the 2015/16 campaign out on loan at Middlesbrough.
