THREE players Chelsea still NEED to sign to defend Premier League from resurgent Arsenal

Last season Chelsea won the Premier League at a canter, with eight points separating them from second placed Manchester City.

However, if they are going to win the top flight again it will take more than the signings of Asmir Begovic and Radamel Falcao. Arsenal, Manchester City, and Manchester United have all strengthened, meaning there is more Jose Mourinho needs to do to defend his title.

Arsenal enter transfer battle with Liverpool to land £50m German star

Here are four players the Portuguese should bring to the club to do this…

3) Pedro, Barcelona

Able to play on either wing, but it is on the right where the 27-year-old could fit in for the Blues. Eden Hazard carries a great threat on the opposite side of the pitch, but Willian, Juan Cuadrado, and Ramires were all used on the right with varying degrees of success last season. The Blaugranas ace could be the man to finally nail down the position and give another avenue of attack for the Stamford Bridge outfit. They will have to move quickly to get him ahead of Manchester United though [Daily Star].

2) John Stones, Everton

The London side have been linked to the 21-year-old recently [Liverpool Echo], and he would be a great long term replacement for John Terry. However, in the short term he could be a great backup for Terry and Gary Cahill, which will be needed if Kurt Zouma is used in midfield again.

1) Baba Rahman, Augsburg

Chelsea are keen to buy the player [Metro], amid rumours Filipe Luiz is going to leave the club [ESPN]. The left-back would be an astute purchase, with a reserve needed in case Cesar Azpilicueta gets injured.
