Borussia Dortmund linked with surprise move for Tottenham flop

Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund are reportedly interested in Tottenham forward Roberto Soldado according to Spanish source AS.

The experienced Spanish international has proven an expensive mistake for the White Hart Lane side and chairman Daniel Levy will be lucky to recoup a third of the £26m his side invested in the 30-year-old two years ago.

Soldado was brought in with funds made from the sale of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid and though the La Liga star was a prolific marksman in his native Spain it’s fair to say he’s been woeful since moving to North London.

The former Valencia man has scored just seven goals in 52 Premier League appearances and it’s hard to fathom as to why Borussia Dortmund would be interested in the Tottenham man.
