Top ten transfer rumours of the week ranked by chance of coming true: Man Utd double deal ON, Arsenal 50/50

Ranking this week’s top rumours by probability.

A look at ten of the biggest transfer rumours from the last week and their chances of coming true, ranked from least to most…

10) Danny Welbeck (Arsenal to Besiktas)

A bizarre rumour emerging from Turkey, Arsenal will surely not let Danny Welbeck go after just one season and it seems just as unlikely that he’d move abroad and risk his England place.

9) Thomas Muller (Bayern Munich to Manchester United)

A hugely ambitious deal that surely can’t happen, Manchester United have already signed Bastian Schweinsteiger from Bayern Munich, who would be mad to let another big player go.

8) Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund to Liverpool)

Another fanciful story, Marco Reus looks far too expensive for Liverpool, who have already splashed out on attacking players like Roberto Firmino and Christian Benteke.

7) Moussa Sissoko (Newcastle to Chelsea)

Although this could be possible, it seems unlikely that Chelsea would try to sign ANOTHER midfielder, and would surely go for a superior player if they did.

6) Jose Callejon (Napoli to Chelsea)

Another strange rumour involving Chelsea, one would expect the club to aim a little higher than Napoli winger Jose Callejon, who risks not being enough of an upgrade on Juan Cuadrado.

5) Karim Benzema (Real Madrid to Arsenal)

A tough one to call, but a deal that perhaps looks like being out of Arsenal’s reach, even if there does seem to be some genuine interest, according to several reliable sources.

4) Gonzalo Higuain (Napoli to Manchester City)

A sensible deal that would make sense for Manchester City, Gonzalo Higuain could well leave Napoli this summer and would be an upgrade on players like Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic up front.

3) Kevin De Bruyne (Wolfsburg to Manchester City)

A deal that has been in the works for some time, it seems likely that Wolfsburg attacking midfielder Kevin De Bruyne will end up joining Manchester City.

2) Pedro (Barcelona to Manchester United)

With Pedro reportedly telling Barcelona he wants to leave, and Angel Di Maria’s move to Paris Saint-Germain all but done, this is another transfer that makes a lot of sense and that could go through soon after talks have already taken place.

1) Sergio Romero (Unattached to Manchester United)

Having passed a medical, it looks increasingly likely that Sergio Romero will be announced as a new Manchester United player before too long.
