Chelsea transfer rumours
Chelsea & Arsenal linked with move for hugely talented €30m German international

There have already been considerable fees spent and cash splashed since the 2014-15 campaign ended, with the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City all investing heavily in their squad over the last few months.

Notably, Raheem Sterling moved from Anfield to the Etihad Stadium for £49 million [Telegraph], while the Reds themselves bought Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke for £32.5 million [Mirror].

However, the spending is clearly not done; in this feature, we present the ten big-money moves we’re still keeping an eye on this summer.

John Stones to Chelsea
According to The Guardian, Chelsea have already had a £20 million bid for England defender John Stones rejected by Everton. However, the Pensioners clearly see the centre-back as an important recruit this summer, and are expected to return with an improved £26 million offer imminently.

Kingsley Coman to Liverpool or Arsenal
TalkSPORT [via the Mirror] report that Liverpool are keen on signing Juventus’ French forward Kingsley Coman. The youngster is a dazzling wide option, who would go someway to replacing the menace on the flanks lost with Raheem Sterling’s departure.

However, the Reds may yet face competition from Bayern Munich and Arsenal.

Fernando Llorente to Man United or Arsenal
Manchester United and Arsenal could be set for a high-profile transfer tussle for Spain forward Fernando Llorente. The Gunners are confident of signing the £8.5 million striker, according to the Express, but Louis van Gaal is also understood to be keen on bringing the World Cup winner to Old Trafford.

Karim Benzema to Arsenal or Man United
Should either of the EPL giants fail in a bid to sign Llorente, they may yet move for Karim Benzema. It remains to be seen whether the France forward still has a role to play, and having been pictured meeting the Red Devils executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward in a London hotel [Manchester Evening News], United may well feel confident of securing the world-class poacher.

Pedro to Man United
Should ‘Benz’ move to Old Trafford, he may find himself partnered in attack by his Clasico rival, Barcelona’s Pedro.

The versatile forward is believed to be on the brink of a move from the Camp Nou to the north west, with the Daily Star reporting on Tuesday that a £22 million is just days away.

Kevin De Bruyne to Man City
Following his superlative campaign in the Bundesliga last term—where the Belgian contributed 10 goals and 20 assists—he has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League.

Manchester City are understood to be keen on the £50 million-rated midfielder [via the Mirror], although Wolfsburg have insisted that they don’t need the Citizens’ money.

How high would Manuel Pellegrini need to go to secure the playmaker’s services?

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Tottenham or Arsenal
North-London rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal may be set to go head-to-head for the services of Borussia Dortmund hitman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Metro report that Spurs are keen to acquire the Gabon forward to supplement the goals of Harry Kane, while Arsenal have already made an offer of £28 million for the versatile.

Saido Berahino to Tottenham
Tottenham’s plan A as a potential partner for Kane appears to be West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino, who scored 14 goals in the Premier League last term.

However, it remains to be seen whether Spurs and the Baggies will agree a fee for the player; the Lillywhites have made an opening bid of £10 million, although the Throstles are understood to want £25 million for their star man [Telegraph].

Sergio Ramos to Man United
For much of the summer, Sergio Ramos has looked set for Old Trafford, although in recent days, the narrative appears to have changed.

The Daily Star reported that United are furious with the player as he edges close to a longer stay at the Bernabeu, essentially turning his back on the Red Devils.

However, all is not lost, and the report notes that Louis van Gaal is considering an improved offer for the player, having previously had a £28 million bid rejected.

Thomas Muller to Man United
However, any disappointment United may feel at having lost out on Sergio Ramos may be forgotten should they secure Germany forward Thomas Muller.

According to the Metro, the World Cup winner has fallen out with Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola, and the Red Devils are on the brink of securing a £56.6 million move for his services.
