Liverpool edging towards La Liga DOUBLE DEAL to polish off AMAZING summer business

Liverpool are edging closer to deals for two La Liga stars that could complete their business for the summer.

The Reds have already signed Danny Ings, James Milner, Adam Bogdan, Joe Gomez, Roberto Firmino, and Christian Benteke this summer, plugging a lot of holes in their side. Brendan Rodgers needed to improve his squad after losing Steven Gerrard at the end of a disappointing season in which they finished sixth in the Premier League.

However, the Merseyside outfit aren’t finished there. First up they have sent representatives to Spain to sort out a deal for Barcelona ace Adama Traore. A loan deal is most likely for the 19-year-old, but he could be available permanently for €15 million according to the Daily Mirror.

Although having only made four appearances the Blaugrana, the youngster has been a regular in their ‘B’ side and is highly rated at the club.

That isn’t all the Reds potentially have lined up though, with another La Liga ace on their radar.

Liverpool are also after Real Madrid star Asier Illarramendi, who could help to fill the hole left by Anfield legend Steven Gerrard. The 25-year-old has failed to impress new manager Rafael Benitez at the Bernabeu, and could be allowed to go, reports the Daily Mirror.

In two seasons with Los Merengues the midfielder has made 90 appearances, but many of those have come from the bench or as a result of injuries to his teammates. With Toni Kroos and Luka Modric currently featuring in the middle of the park for the Spanish side it is unlikely that he will be getting much more game time in the near future.

This has left the way open for the Merseyside outfit, who could use him with James Milner to help in the middle of the park after Gerrard’s departure. The former England international has big shoes to fill, and may take two players to replace.
