Arsenal predicted line up vs Chelsea: Petr Cech to face old club in Community Shield, but no Alexis Sanchez

Arsenal predicted line up for Community Shield.

An Arsenal predicted line up for this weekend’s Community Shield clash against Chelsea at Wembley, with Petr Cech making his debut against his old club the main talking point…

GK: Petr Cech

In his first competitive game for Arsenal, Petr Cech faces his old club Chelsea in what will no doubt be an emotional experience for him this weekend.

DR: Hector Bellerin

Likely to be first choice at right-back this season, Spanish starlet Hector Bellerin should be in the starting lineup for this big clash at Wembley.

DL: Kieran Gibbs

Competing with Nacho Monreal for the left-back slot, Kieran Gibbs may get the nod over the Spaniard here in one last attempt to win over Arsene Wenger before the start of the Premier League next week.

DC: Per Mertesacker

A key defender for Arsenal, Per Mertesacker seems likely to remain first choice this season and will surely captain the Gunners against Chelsea.

DC: Laurent Koscielny

Another big name at the back for Wenger’s side, Laurent Koscielny should see some playing time here ahead of the opening day of the Premier League season.

MC: Francis Coquelin

Last season’s breakthrough performer, Francis Coquelin will surely be in line for a start here in an attempt to shackle players like Cesc Fabregas and Oscar.

MC: Jack Wilshere

Perhaps handed a start here after missing some of pre-season, England midfielder Jack Wilshere could allow Santi Cazorla a little rest for the game against Chelsea.

AMR: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

A player in superb form in pre-season so far, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will likely start on the right flank in the absence of Alexis Sanchez.

AML: Mesut Ozil

In a slightly unfamiliar wide-left role,Mesut Ozil seems likely to start the Community Shield after also looking hugely impressive in pre-season.

AMC: Aaron Ramsey

In a more advanced role than usual, Aaron Ramsey could fill this central spot in the absence of players like Sanchez and Cazorla, and will be hoping to score in the Community Shield again after netting in the win over Manchester City last year.

FC: Theo Walcott

Starting up front as he did in the FA Cup final, Theo Walcott could get the nod over Olivier Giroud for this match after also looking sharp in pre-season so far.
