Manchester United star set to lose Sir Alex Ferguson FAVOURITE to Ligue 1 outfit

Manchester United star Rafael looks set to join Olympique Lyonnais this summer, reports the Metro.

The 25-year-old was a regular when Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge at Old Trafford, but has seen his first team opportunities dry up under Louis van Gaal. Intermittent injuries have also not helped the Brazilian to make a mark under the 63-year-old, and only made 11 appearances last season.

Manchester United star ‘wants to come’ to PSG, according to international teammate

The arrival of Matteo Darmian this summer means that the full-back is now playing third fiddle to the Italy international and Antonio Valencia. As a result a move to OL will likely be very enticing, with his young age meaning that there is still a chance his faltering career can be kickstarted.

A deal for the defender is ‘very close’ according to the Metro, and his contract situation means United are keen to offload him now. The former Fluminense player has only one year left on his current deal, meaning he could leave on a free next summer.
