A list of ten Premier League stars who could take their game to a new level this season and move from ‘very good’ to world class, including surprise Aston Villa ace…

1) Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool)

A superbly skillful and entertaining player, Liverpool starlet Philippe Coutinho has world class potential and can really become one of the best in the world in his position if he can produce the goods week in, week out.

2) Christian Eriksen (Tottenham)

Another skillful attacking midfielder who suffers a little from consistency, Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen is another big talent who has looked on the verge of becoming world class for some time.

3) Harry Kane (Tottenham)

After a superb breakthrough season last year, Tottenham striker Harry Kane is another youngster on the books at White Hart Lane who needs to show he’s the real deal with another strong season in front of goal, and with better all-round play on the ball.

4) Christian Benteke (Liverpool)

Superb at Aston Villa, Christian Benteke now has the chance to score far more goals in an attack-minded side that should dominate most games, and the Belgian looks equipped to become the Reds’ answer to Premier League legend Didier Drogba.

5) Oscar (Chelsea)

Some might say he’s already there, but Chelsea star Oscar still needs to fine tune his game a little and provide more end product to be truly world class, though he’s certainly likely to hit that level this season.

6) Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Arsenal)

An outsider perhaps, but Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has looked absolutely oustanding in pre-season and will need to show he can stay fit and keep his place in the Gunners’ starting XI, which will be a big challenge in itself.

7) Luke Shaw (Manchester United)

Tipped for some time to be a future great, Luke Shaw struggled in his first season at Manchester United but is now the subject of much expectation ahead of the new season.

8) Raheem Sterling (Manchester City)

A player who has shot to prominence from a young age, Raheem Sterling could really now explode as a world class performer in an improved team at Manchester City.

9) Roberto Firmino (Liverpool)

Hugely impressive in the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim, Roberto Firmino will surely establish himself as world class if he can bring that form with him to the Premier League.

10) Jack Grealish (Aston Villa)

A wilcard, but Aston Villa youngster Jack Grealish looks a huge talent based on some performances in the second half of last season, and it might not be long before he’s being hailed as the next big thing in English football.
