GK) Petr Cech, 2

At fault for both goals, and endured a nightmare debut. Will have to improve if Arsenal are going to be involved in the title race.

RB) Mathieu Debuchy, 4

Good going forward, but Dimitri Payet was able operate with impunity on his wing.

LB) Nacho Monreal, 3

Lost his man on the first goal, and struggled to recover from the mistake.

CB) Laurent Koscielny, 6

Solid as usual from the Frenchman. It was a pity he was let down by his teammates.

CB) Per Mertesacker, 5

Relies heavily on his teammates, which means he suffers when they perform poorly like this.
