Man City Dzeko: Five players to follow the Roma striker out of the Etihad Stadium, including ex-Arsenal star and £32m flop

Edin Dzeko‘s season-long loan move to Serie A giants AS Roma from Man City was confirmed on Wednesday afternoon and there could be more departures at the Etihad Stadium before the transfer window closes next month.

Take a look at five City players who could potentially follow the Bosnia and Herzegovina striker out the door.

5) Marcos Lopes

Reports in the British media earlier in the week suggested that Premier League rivals Tottenham were watching developments surrounding Lopes’ contract situation at City.

With the likes of David Silva and Raheem Sterling ahead of him in the pecking order, the youngster could decide a move to North London is beneficial for his career.

4)  Fernando

Despite a solid debut season for last season’s Premier League runners-up, the arrival of Fabian Delph could result in less game time for Fernando this year.

3) Eliaquim Mangala

Mangala is yet to justify his huge £32million price-tag since arriving from Porto last summer and could find his place in the starting XI under threat if a new central defender arrives at the club.

2) Jesus Navas

With City hoping to sign Belgian assist machine Kevin De Bruyne at some point this summer, that is likely to result in Navas being surplus to requirements.

1) Samir Nasri

The Frenchman has failed to live up to expectations since his arrival from Arsenal in the summer of 2011 and appears to be the understudy to Sterling this season.
