Revealed: The most HATED Premier League teams, Man Utd, Chelsea & Liverpool DESPISED by supporters

The most loathed teams in the Premier League have been revealed.

The Mirror conducted the survey on the most hated teams in the Premier League, and the results show that Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool are the most despised among supporters.

It’s good news for the new boys of England’s top flight, as there’s much respect, but this could all change at the end of the season, as they look to ruffle a few feathers of their new rivals.

Take a look at the results…

20. Bournemouth – 9%

There’s something about the close proximity of the seaside that makes a team that little bit more lovable.

19. Southampton – 11%

Who could despite the Saints? They boast an outstanding academy, having nurtured such talents as Gareth Bale, Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, and entertain with their style of play each week.

18. Swansea City – 13%

The Swans are capable of giving any team in the Premier League a run for their money, and it’s this that has commanded the respect of their rivals since their promotion four seasons ago.

17. Watford – 15%

After sealing a return to the Premier League at the end of last season, the Hornets got their first game against Everton off to flier, with only a late strike preventing victory for the away side at Goodison Park. Expect Watford to shock – and certainly excite – a few.

16. Norwich City – 18%

Norwich lost 3-1 to Crystal Palace in their first game since returning to England’s top flight, and it could be a tough season ahead for the Canaries. But they won’t go down without a fight.

15. West Bromwich Albion – 21%

Their stubborn refusal to fall to relegation has earned respect throughout the league. A solid season last term, recording 44 points to secure safety, will hopefully have instilled confidence on another comfortable mid-table finish.

14. Everton – 21%

The Toffees were hugely underwhelming last season and similarly didn’t impress on the opening day of the campaign. While their popularity remains high, their focus must be on improving their performances.

13. Leicester City – 21%

Their exciting football has certainly won supporters over, but the sacking of Nigel Pearson still has a few judgemental eyebrows raised, despite their 4-2 victory over Sunderland last weekend.

12. Crystal Palace – 24%

The Eagles were mightily impressive last season, and it could be this that has intimidated a few of their rivals. They next face Arsenal, and this will be no easy game for the Gunners.

11. Sunderland – 30%

It’s hard not to dislike the Black Cats. Their football hardly sets the league alight even if it does get the job of securing safety done.

10. Aston Villa – 32%

Tim Sherwood’s troops narrowly beat Bournemouth last weekend, as all eyes were fixed on how they would cope without star centre-forward Christian Benteke and former club captain Fabian Delph. They need a quick start to their season or the doubters will quickly surface again.

9. West Ham – 37%

The Hammers’ long-ball style of play has been heavily criticised, and new manager Slaven Bilic will be aiming to silence the Upton Park critics with dazzling play before heading to the Olympic Stadium. A 2-0 victory over Arsenal got them off to a perfect start.

8. Newcastle – 39%

The Magpies aren’t afraid of causing upset – whether intentionally or not – as they continue to escape relegation.

7. Stoke City – 41%

It’s no doubt that the Potters’ miserable style of play is behind this hefty percentage of haters. The signing of Xherdan Shaqiri, a Champions League winner, might inspire exciting attacking football at the Britannia Stadium.

6. Arsenal – 41%

It wouldn’t be surprising if a large number of the haters were from their own supporters following the 2-0 defeat to the Hammers.

5. Tottenham Hotspur – 46%

It’s perhaps a shock to see Spurs with a higher percentage than fierce rivals Arsenal. But, for all the money they have spent and their top four expectations, Harry Kane remains the only figure worthy of attention at White Hart Lane.

4. Manchester City – 53%

Having bought their way to Premier League titles, it’s unsurprising to see so many unfond of the Citizens.

3. Liverpool – 60%

With no Premier League title in over 25 years and Brendan Rodgers continuing to spend ridiculously in the market, the Reds have become somewhat of a laughing stock. There will, however, be no excuses over poor performances this season.

2. Chelsea – 65%

We wonder how much higher this figure may have been after the news that Chelsea team doctor Eva Carneiro will no longer be on the Blues bench following a Jose Mourinho bust-up.

1. Manchester United – 68%

No surprises here. The Red Devils’ dominance in England’s top flight isn’t without its enemies. The arrival of the arrogant and autocratic manager Louis van Gaal will only have left fans hating the club even more.
