Five realistic striker signings for Tottenham after Soldado exit, with Man Utd ace, Arsenal target & World Cup winner

Five potential striker signings who’d be ideal – and cheap!

A look at five strikers Tottenham could realistically sign before the end of the summer transfer window, including a bargain World Cup winner, Arsenal target and unwanted Manchester United ace…

1) Javier Hernandez (Manchester United)

Linked several times with a move to Tottenham this summer, Manchester United backup player Javier Hernandez has a good goals record and could prove a smart signing up front for this Spurs side that needs an alternative to take the weight off Harry Kane.

2) Fernando Llorente (Juventus)

Available for just £8.5m this summer, Juventus striker Fernando Llorente could fit in well at White Hart Lane and would provide some much-needed experience and kn0w-how in this relatively youthful Tottenham team, having won major honours like Serie A and the World Cup.

3) Saido Berahino (West Brom)

One of the best young strikers in the Premier League, West Brom starlet Saido Berahino is believed to be a £15m target for Spurs and would be an exciting long-term buy for the club as they look to progress.

4) Charlie Austin (Queens Park Rangers)

A goal machine last season, Charlie Austin is somehow still available after failing to agree an exit from Queens Park Rangers. Tottenham have been mentioned as admirers, and they could certainly do with his goal-getting ability up top.

5) Mattia Destro (AS Roma)

A player in limbo after failing to make his loan move to AC Milan a permanent one, Mattia Destro has the ability to succeed at a top club, but has lost his way a little. Arsenal have been strongly linked with the prolific Italian in the past and Spurs should try bagging him on the cheap.
