Manchester United to revamp attack by signing £129m quartet, including Di Maria replacement & Arsenal targets

Manchester United set to splash the cash on entire new attack.

Manchester United could still spend a whopping £129m on new attacking players before the end of the summer, if today’s reports are to be believed.

The Red Devils have already sold Angel Di Maria to Paris Saint-Germain this summer, on top of letting big names like Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao go.

There could be further departures in the form of players like Javier Hernandez in that area, as well as plenty of cash coming in from the likely sale of David de Gea to Real Madrid, leading to these four players being strongly linked with moves to Old Trafford:

1) Pedro (Barcelona)

Set for a £21m move to United from Barcelona, Pedro seems an imminent signing for Louis van Gaal’s side as a direct replacement for Di Maria out wide.

2) Thomas Muller (Bayern Munich)

For a whopping £50m, Thomas Muller is an ambitious target for United from Bayern Munich, though the Bavarian giants have insisted they will not be selling him for any price this summer.

3) Mario Gotze (Bayern Munich)

Another Bayern star on United’s radar this summer is unsettled German forward Mario Gotze, who could be a useful buy up front after becoming more of a false-9 striker in recent times, though Arsenal are also interested.

4) Nicolas Gaitan (Benfica)

Another option out wide is Benfica star Nicolas Gaitan, who would cost £28m and be another good option on the flank as an upgrade on players like Ashley Young and Adnan Januzaj, whose futures have been uncertain this summer.
