Chelsea Higuain deal likely, but here are five cheaper and better options!
Chelsea Higuain stories have been doing the rounds today, suggesting the Napoli striker really could be set for a ridiculoous £63.9m move to Stamford Bridge, so here are five suggested alternatives who’d be cheaper and arguably better for the Blues…
1) Karim Benzema (Real Madrid)
Strongly linked with Arsenal for so much of the summer, Chelsea could do well to nip ahead of their rivals in the race for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, who is a better player than Higuain and who would cost just £45m.

2) Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich)
Valued at around £44m, Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski would be another superb addition for this Chelsea side, costing close to £20m less than Higuain despite being a more well-rounded player.
3) Pedro (Barcelona)
Capable of playing up front, but also a dangerous scorer from out wide, Chelsea would do well to land Barcelona star Pedro for just £21m, with Manchester United unsure over paying that asking price.
4) Harry Kane (Tottenham)
Available for £40-45m, Tottenham striker Harry Kane looks ideally suited to Chelsea’s style of play and is one of the most exciting young players in the game at the moment after a prolific breakthrough last season.
5) Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Borussia Dortmund)
A superbly skillful and pacey player, Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is another forward who should be considered by Chelsea up top, with the Arsenal target said to be available for just over £30m.
