GK) Asmir Begovic, 8

One of the only players to come out of the game with any credit, the ‘keeper stopped the scoreline from being any more embarrassing.

RB) Branislav Ivanovic, 2

Was torn apart by Raheem Sterling throughout the match, looking a shell of the player he was last season.

LB) Cesar Azpilicueta, 6

Started off poorly, but was able to get himself together while those around him were failing.

CB) John Terry, 3

Looked completely off the pace before being taken off, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he was substituted for a poor performance rather than an injury.

CB) Gary Cahill, 4

Not much better than his captain, and was taken apart by Aguero throughout.

during the Pre Season Friendly match between Chelsea and Fiorentina at Stamford Bridge on August 5, 2015 in London, England.

CM) Cesc Fabregas, 4

Wasn’t able to have any impact on the encounter, and doesn’t look like a Mourinho-type player on the pitch right now.

CDM) Nemanja Matic, 7

Was almost single-handedly fighting against the tide of Sky Blue shirts, and did as well as he could while his teammates let him down.

CM) Ramires, 5

Was unlucky to have his goal disallowed for offside, but was also off the pace defensively and left Matic without support.

LW) Eden Hazard, 5

Had little to no impact, but that was more because the game wasn’t in his area of the pitch rather than any individual problem.

RW) Willian, 4

Similar to Hazard, but also didn’t bring the defensive work rate that is expected of the Brazilian.

ST) Diego Costa, 5

Was unable to be the cutting edge that was needed by the Blues. Also showed his dark side with several incidents of aggression.

SUB) Kurt Zouma, 6

Had a hard situation to come in to, but managed to not embarrass himself while others did.

SUB) Juan Cuadrado, 4

Still unable to play in English football.

SUB) Radamel Falcao, 5

Didn’t have enough time to get in to the match.
