Arsenal’s top 7 transfer targets REVEALED: Ranking them from worst to best, with Benzema 2nd & Man Utd target 5th

Power ranking Arsenal’s seven main transfer targets.

Arsenal are ready to make one or two more signings before the summer transfer window deadline, with Arsene Wenger set to pick from these seven main options, including Karim Benzema

7) Ezequiel Lavezzi (PSG)

Offered to Arsenal on the cheap, there seems a real chance they could sign Paris Saint-Germain winger Ezequiel Lavezzi before the end of the summer, though the last thing the Gunners need is another attacking midfielder.

6) Adrien Rabiot (PSG)

Another target from PSG, French midfielder Adrien Rabiot is a promising youngster but perhaps not the ideal solution to the team’s defensive midfield woes at the moment.

5) Mario Gotze (Bayern Munich)

Another slightly unnecessary target, Bayern Munich starlet Mario Gotze would be up against the likes of Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla and, although a top talent, probably shouldn’t be a priority right now.

4) William Carvalho (Sporting Lisbon)

A very promising defensive midfielder, Sporting Lisbon’s William Carvalho would be a good signing for Arsenal this summer, with Real Madrid also known admirers of the highly-rated Portuguese international.

3) Grzegorz Krychowiak (Sevilla)

Even better than Carvalho, Sevilla’s powerful defensive midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak looks ideal to Arsenal’s current needs in terms of ability and mentality and leadership on the pitch.

2) Karim Benzema (Real Madrid)

One of the best strikers in the world, this is the kind of player that could make the difference in this season’s title race, and Arsenal must try to pay up £45m or whatever it takes to land Karim Benzema from Real Madrid.

1) Edinson Cavani (PSG)

Perhaps an even better option, and likely a cheaper one, Arsenal should try to sign PSG striker Edinson Cavani this summer, with the powerfull Uruguayan another major step up from players like Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck.
