Manchester United star lined up for SHOCK move to MLS

Manchester United star Victor Valdes has received several offers from Major League Soccer clubs this summer, reports the Metro.

The 33-year-old has been told he can leave the Red Devils after falling out with manager Louis van Gaal. This is despite only signing for the team last January, and having worked with the Dutchman before when he was in charge at Barcelona. The 63-year-old has even criticised the player in public, showing that their professional relationship appears to be at an end.

The ex-Spain international hasn’t even been in the matchday squad for the first couple of games of the season. Van Gaal has preferred to put untested 22-year-old Sam Johnstone on the bench and recent signing Sergio Romero between the sticks. If David De Gea doesn’t move to Real Madrid then Valdes will slip even further down the pecking order.

As such, several MLS sides have made offers for the former Barcelona man. Players such as Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard, and Andrea Pirlo have moved to the USA this summer, and could this could cause Valdes to be more open to what is generally seen as a lesser league.
