Arsenal DAYS away from capturing £55m goal-machine, even better than Karim Benzema

Emirates Stadium side push on with moves for superb South-American.

Arsenal could be days away from reportedly securing a deal to sign PSG forward Edinson Cavani according to the Metro.

The Uruguayan hot-shot has repeatedly been linked with a move away from the Parc des Princes over the past year, chiefly due to reports that the 28-year-old is unhappy with his role within Laurent Blanc’s first-team set-up, and this source believes a move to the Emirates Stadium could be on the cards.

Cavani wants to leave PSG and a move to Arsenal could tempt the South American and arguably the powerful marksman is an even more ideal option to field as the spear-head of the Gunners attack than long-term Arsene Wenger target Karim Benzema.

Despite being used out on the flank Cavani has still managed to rack up 57 goals in 98 appearances for PSG and the lethal finisher also bagged 104 goals in three seasons at Napoli, which led to his £55m move to the French capital.
