A move to New York Red Bulls or New York City FC is now being mooted.

4. Nicolas Otamendi’s transfer hits stumbling block

The Red Devils have been heavily linked with Otamendi this summer, but Manchester City have recently leaped ahead of their fierce rivals.

Valencia, therefore, want a higher transfer fee.

The Daily Mail claim that Paris Saint-Germain have told Zlatan Ibrahimovic that he is free to leave at a cut price this summer, and Arsenal and United could go head-to-head for his signature.

2. Pedro: Ed Woodward in Barcelona

Ed Woodward, United chief executive, flew to Catalunya on Monday to attempt to finalise a £22m deal for Pedro Rodriguez, the Daily Mail report.

According to the British newspaper, interest from Chelsea had slowed negotiations, but Woodward is confident on clinching his signature ahead of the reigning Premier League champions.

A deal has proved difficult with United’s £33million asking price; however, Marca are confident that his return to the Spanish capital will be completed.
