Chelsea’s PHENOMENAL XI after £130m spending spree on Pogba, Man Utd target & new striker – treble contenders?

How Chelsea look set to line up after the transfer deadline.

With growing speculation that Chelsea are working on three more signings for an incredible £130m in total, here’s a look at how Jose Mourinho’s best XI should look after the summer transfer deadline…

GK: Thibaut Courtois

Chelsea’s established number one after the departure of Petr Cech, Thibaut Courtois is a world class first choice in goal for the Blues.

DR: Cesar Azpilicueta

Moving to right-back after some poor form from Branislav Ivanovic, Cesar Azpilicueta is a solid option in this position.

DL: Baba Rahman

Joining from Augsburg this week, Ghanian starlet Baba Rahman is now expected to become first choice at left-back.

DC: John Terry

Despite being subbed off against Manchester City last week, John Terry should remain first choice at centre-back for Chelsea.

DC: John Stones

Coming in to partner Terry and to eventually replace him, Everton youngster John Stones is a £40m target who is looking ever more likely to join.

MC: Nemanja Matic

One of the best defensive midfielders in the world, Nemanja Matic keeps his place in the centre after some superb form last season.

MC: Paul Pogba

Coming in alongside Matic is £69m midfielder Paul Pogba, who looks to be on the verge of a move to Stamford Bridge after the club agreed a fee with Juventus.

AMR: Pedro

Joining from Barcelona this week, Chelsea’s new winger Pedro should become first choice on the right-hand side of the attacking midfield three.

AML: Eden Hazard

On the left as usual is the world class Eden Hazard, whose form should improve with so much increased quality around him.

AMC: Cesc Fabregas

Moving to a more advanced role, Cesc Fabregas could now operate in the number ten spot as Oscar may join Juventus as part of the Pogba deal.

FC: Alexandre Lacazette

With Diego Costa, Radamel Falcao and Loic Remy unconvincing, Chelsea have been linked with a £21m move to sign Lyon sensation Alexandre Lacazette, who’d be an excellent addition up front.
