Arsenal ‘not giving up on hugely ambitious £104m double swoop’, including move for Chelsea transfer target

Gunners chase exciting attacking pair.

Arsenal are reportedly looking into signing two strikers before the end of the summer transfer window as Arsene Wenger is sparked into action in the transfer market.

The Gunners drew 0-0 with Liverpool on Monday night to continue a poor run of form in front of goal, making it five out of their last six home games in which they’ve failed to find the back of the net.

Wenger has money to spend and will now target one of these two to solve his side’s issues up front:

1) Gonzalo Higuain (Napoli)

Worth a whopping £59m, Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain remains firmly on Arsenal’s radar after being linked with the club several times in the last few years, though Chelsea have also shown a strong interest in the Argentine this summer.

2) Karim Benzema (Real Madrid)

Despite a deal looking dead in the water, it has now emerged that Arsenal remain in the hunt to sign Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, who’d cost around £45m and be another ideal buy for the needs of this Gunners side.
