Premier League uncapped XI: Arsenal duo & Liverpool pair join Man United midfielder in quality side

A superb XI of uncapped Premier League stars – what do these guys need to do to get called up?

An entire XI of uncapped Premier League players, with some surprise names from big clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United

GK: Adrian (West Ham)

A fine goalkeeper who has performed well for West Ham, Adrian faces an admittedly tough fight to break into the Spanish national team setup.

DR: Leandro Bacuna (Aston Villa)

A solid enough right-back, but it is perhaps unsurprising that Aston Villa’s Leandro Bacuna is yet to earn his first Netherlands cap.

DL: Danny Rose (Tottenham)

Harshly overlooked by England, Danny Rose has been a major player for Tottenham in recent times and should pull on the famous Three Lions shirt before long.

DC: Emre Can (Liverpool)

A terrific young player, Emre Can has shone in various positions since moving to Liverpool, but is up against some very strong competition in his quest to play for Germany.

DC: Marc Muniesa (Stoke)

Another Spaniard who is just not quite up to the standard of international football, Marc Muniesa is a top Premier League player who may have to go without a senior cap.

MC: Francis Coquelin (Arsenal)

After a superb breakthrough season for Arsenal last term, Francis Coquelin can’t be too far from getting a call-up for France, and could be a late bloomer on the international scene.

MC: Mikel Arteta (Arsenal)

Unlike Coquelin, Mikel Arteta’s best years are behind him and he surely has no chance now of winning a place in any of Spain’s squads despite a great career at club level.

MC: Ander Herrera (Manchester United)

A very surprising name to make the list, Manchester United’s classy midfield playmaker Ander Herrera is yet another uncapped Spaniard playing in England’s top flight, though this surely won’t last.

FR: Marc Albrighton (Leicester)

Not the best player in the league, but Marc Albrighton has looked a player reborn at Leicester and was once regarded as a top young talent at Aston Villa, so an England call at some point might not be entirely out of the question.

FL: Jordan Ibe (Liverpool)

One of Liverpool’s best young players, Jordan Ibe is surely an England regular of the future and will show that as he becomes more of a fixture for the Reds this term.

FC: Saido Berahino (West Brom)

Called up once for England, Saido Berahino didn’t get on the pitch and will have to wait a little longer for his first cap, though the talented West Brom starlet is sure to feature before too long.
