Man Utd clear out: Four players Red Devils will REGRET selling this summer, including underrated backup

Four members of the Man Utd clear out who shouldn’t have left.

After a busy Man Utd clear out this summer, here’s a look at four players the Red Devils could live to regret letting go, including Angel Di Maria and an underrated backup defender…

1) Angel Di Maria

A world class player at his best, Angel Di Maria was clearly slow to settle into life in England, but was also used out of position all too often before being left out of the team altogether towards the end of last season. Now at PSG, Di Maria could find his best form again and look like the creative midfielder the Red Devils needed all along.

2) Robin van Persie

A lethal goalscorer let go too soon, Robin van Persie may no longer be good enough to be first choice but could surely have played his part as a backup option this season.

3) Javier Hernandez

A dangerous goal poacher who is good off the bench, Javier Hernandez was harshly not used down the years, and showed plenty of promise in limited appearances at Real Madrid on loan last year. With United so short of strikers, it’s bizarre to see so many leaving all at once.

4) Jonny Evans

An underrated defender, Jonny Evans is perfectly good as backup and should have been kept on at United given their lack of depth in that position, with no new signings coming in either.
