Man Utd XI with FOUR stunning deadline day signings, including €62m Chelsea target & €49m Rooney replacement

Man Utd new-look XI with four expected deadline day signings.

A possible Man Utd XI for Louis van Gaal to pick if the Red Devils complete their expected deadline day signings, including replacements for David de Gea and Wayne Rooney

GK: Keylor Navas

Despite the David de Gea deal seemingly dead, it is not too late for United to sign Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas as his replacement, and after this unfortunate saga it may be that LVG will want a replacement now anyway.

DR: Matteo Darmian

A superb right-back, Matteo Darmian should be first choice for United this season after his fine form since joining from Torino.

DL: Luke Shaw

A talented youngster, Luke Shaw is surely United’s first choice left-back for the 2015/16 season.

DC: Chris Smalling

With no signings in central defence, it looks like Chris Smalling will be United’s main defensive leader this season.

DC: Daley Blind

Moving centrally after playing a number of different roles last season, the versatile Daley Blind could prove a wise choice in this position.

MC: Morgan Schneiderlin

A superb signing from Southampton, Morgan Schneiderlin has made a great start to life at United and will surely continue as the team’s main defensive midfielder.

MC: Hakan Calhanoglu

Linked with a £26m deadline day move to Old Trafford, Bayer Leverkusen starlet Hakan Calhanoglu is a potentially world class playmaker and set-piece specialist who’d fit in superbly in Van Gaal’s side.

AMR: Antoine Griezmann

Possibly joining in a late £46m move, Atletico Madrid winger Antoine Griezmann would be an excellent alternative to the likes of Pedro and other United wide-player targets this summer.

AML: Memphis Depay

Signed from PSV earlier this summer, Dutch forward Memphis Depay has shone for the Reds so far and will likely continue in attack on a regular basis.

AMC: Juan Mata

United’s main number ten, Juan Mata continues in a central attacking role just off the main striker, though he could rotate with Wayne Rooney.

FC: Anthony Martial

Possibly coming in to replace Rooney, Anthony Martial’s move to United looks a done deal for £36m as the club sought to replace their misfiring striker and captain.
