With Chelsea sending a ridiculous 33 players out on loan this season, here’s our attempt at a strongest XI of Blues cast-offs, featuring Juan Cuadrado

GK: Matej Delac (Sarajevo)

A Croatian youngster who has been loaned out EIGHT times since moving to Chelsea all the way back in 2010.

DC: Tomas Kalas (Middlesbrough)

An impressive young defender, Tomas Kalas is unfortunate not to be in the Blues’ first-team set up, and is now in a second stint at Middlesbrough.

DC: Michael Hector (Reading)

Signed this summer and immediately loaned back to his old club Reading, Michael Hector becomes the latest Chelsea player in the loan wilderness.

DC: Nathan Ake (Watford)

On loan at Premier League new-boys Watford this season, Nathan Ake is a good prospect but could face a struggle to get into Jose Mourinho’s first-team plans.

DM: Marco van Ginkel (Stoke City)

Plagued by injuries, it looks a long way back into the Chelsea team for Marco van Ginkel, on loan at Stoke this season.

AMR: Victor Moses (West Ham)

Previously on loan at Liverpool and Stoke, Victor Moses has been loaned out for a third year in a row, moving to West Ham for 2015/16.

AML: Christian Atsu (Bournemouth)

Yet to play a single game for Chelsea, Christian Atsu is now at Bournemouth after spells with Vitesse and Everton.

AMC: Juan Cuadrado (Juventus)

An exciting January signing who bizarrely never got a game, Juan Cuadrado lasted just six months before being loaned out to Juventus.

FC: Mohamed Salah (AS Roma)

Despite impressing on loan at Fiorentina last season, Mohamed Salah has been farmed out to Italy again, this time with AS Roma.
