Liverpool & Arsenal ‘on alert as Real Madrid star rejects new contract in favour of transfer exit’

Premier League pair chase want-away Real Madrid star.

Liverpool and Arsenal could be on red alert as Denis Cheryshev seeks an exit from Real Madrid, despite the Spanish giants hoping to offer him a new contract.

The Russian international, who impressed a number of top clubs with his performances on loan at Villarreal last season, was denied an exit this summer by manager Rafael Benitez.

However, Cheryshev himself seems unsure over signing a new deal due to a lack of first-team opportunities, and Fichajes.net reports that he is considering leaving the club in January.

Liverpool and Arsenal have been strongly linked with Cheryshev in the past and would likely move for him again this winter if he did become available.
