Liverpool team news: Reds handed MAJOR boost as Sturridge & Henderson both in contention to return against Norwich

Liverpool are set to be boosted by the returns of key duo Daniel Sturridge and Jordan Henderson for their Premier League clash against newly promoted Norwich City on Sunday afternoon, Guardian Sport reports.

Sturridge has been sidelined with a hip problem he sustained during the FA Cup quarter-final replay against Championship outfit Blackburn Rovers back in April, but he returned to full training earlier in the month and is in contention to make his first Anfield appearance since netting against Manchester United six months ago.

His return will increase the attacking options for manager Brendan Rodgers, who is still searching for a formation that will help the side improve their goalscoring record.

The Merseyside outfit have found the net just four times in their first six games of the new season and go into the fixture against Canaries 10th in the Premier League table.
