Six Premier League JERKS: Diego Costa best at tormenting fans and foes alike, including Chelsea teammate, Arsenal midfielder and potential Tottenham striker

Diego Costa’s behaviour in Chelsea‘s 2-0 win over Arsenal made even Blues fans cringe.

Between swatting Arsenal players in the face and crying like a little baby when one of his opponents had the audacity to fight back against his incessant teasing and toe-stepping, Costa didn’t gain any new admirers!

There are a lot of really nice guys in the Premier League, but Costa ranks high among a group of players don’t fit that description – not by a long shot.

In this feature, we present the six EPL players we love to hate.

6. Olivier Giroud

With the cockiness to call himself a better striking option for Arsenal than Edinson Cavani and Karim Benzema, Giroud followed up that bold statement by getting himself a well-deserved red card in Arsenal’s Champions League loss to Dinamo Zagreb.

Meanwhile, the Gunners have been shut out in half of their matches this season. Fantastique!

5. Jamie Vardy

On top of using a disgusting racial slur at a casino last month, Vardy committed a brutal tackle back in 2014 against Aston Villa’s Ashley Westwood that cost him a month of action.

Vardy returned less than a year later to troll Aston Villa fans with a game-equalizing goal for Leicester City that ultimately resulted in a loss for the Villans.

4. Saido Berahino

It was a reasonable request for Berahino to ask for a move to Tottenham Hotspur after being one of the best scorers in 2014-15. What was NOT reasonable was for Berahino to tell the world that he would never play for WBA while the current chairman was at the club…

3. Jack Wilshere

After thoroughly dominating Aston Villa in the FA Cup Final and winning their second cup in a row, a drunken Wilshere grabbed the microphone at Arsenal’s victory parade and went on a profanity-laden tirade against Tottenham Hotspur.

Maybe he’d have a little more self-control if he actually won the Premier League for once in his life….

2. Diego Costa

Costa was a crucial part of Chelsea’s Premier League win last year and nobody can argue otherwise. But the constant drama he puts Blues fans through week-to-week – from his wishy-washy feelings about staying at Stamford Bridge, to his ongoing dry spell this season, to his actions on the field against Arsenal (behaviour which should’ve earned him more than just a yellow card) – have earned him a top spot on the list.

But not THE top spot – that’s reserved for one of his teammates…

1. John Terry

If John Terry had a goal for every ‘allegation’ he’s been faced with he’d have more goals than Pele.

From ‘alleged’ extramarital affairs to ‘allegedly’ taking money from reporters to ‘alleged’ assaults to ‘alleged’ racial slurs (too many of which have actually been proven true), the Chelsea legend really knows how to get under peoples’ skins – on and off the pitch.
