Man United have ‘great’ chance to re-sign Cristiano Ronaldo next summer according to respected journalist

Man United have a ‘great chance’ of re-signing Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo next summer according to Le10Sport journalist Frederic Hermel.

Louis van Gaal had been strongly linked with a move to lure the 30-year-old Portuguese international back to Old Trafford over the summer but no deal was forthcoming.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been in astonishing form of late, scoring eight goals in his past two appearances against Espanyol and Shakhtar Donestk, and is a player Rafa Benitez would be loathe to lose.

However Hermel has stated:

“I think that Cristiano Ronaldo will leave Real Madrid at the end of the season. I have information that confirms this.

“I’ve been told by strong sources, very important ones, that Manchester [United], Paris Saint-Germain and the MLS have a great chance of fighting over Cristiano Ronaldo’s services at the end of the season.”
