Ozil Arsenal exit: Five replacements for Fenerbahce-bound German, with £50m PL star & £44m Chelsea transfer target

Five signings Arsenal should consider as Ozil nears exit.

With growing speculation that Mesut Ozil could be leaving Arsenal for Fenerbahce in the summer, here’s a look at five potential replacements in that number ten role, including one of Chelsea‘s top targets…

1) Mario Gotze (Bayern Munich)

Another skillful German number ten, Mario Gotze was linked strongly with Arsenal in the summer after rumours of a falling out with manager Pep Guardiola, and he continues to be in and out of the Bayern Munich team this season.

2) Isco (Real Madrid)

Believed to be a top Arsenal target for January, Real Madrid playmaker Isco is another potentially world class talent not getting enough playing time at his club at the moment, and he could end up moving to the Premier League.

3) Ross Barkley (Everton)

One of the best young players in England, Ross Barkley has shown himself to be a top talent at Everton and could be a great buy for Arsenal, even if he’d possibly cost close to £50m.

4) Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund)

Linked many times with Arsenal and other top clubs, Marco Reus will surely be leaving Borussia Dortmund at the end of this season and would be a fanastic signing to help replace Ozil.

5) Koke (Atletico Madrid)

Finally, Arsenal could also try an ambitious move to rival Chelsea for the signing of £44m-rated Atletico Madrid playmaker Koke, who could fill Ozil’s role, or play a little deeper and allow players like Santi Cazorla or Aaron Ramsey to move further forward.
