Ten January transfers that already look CERTAIN: Arsenal triple deal, Chelsea to sign defensive duo & Man Utd sale

Ten deals already on the cards for the January transfer window, featuring Arsenal and Chelsea.

The summer transfer window may not have been closed for long, but it’s already looking increasingly clear how the big clubs might be spending their money in January.

Read on to see ten deals we believe are firmly on the cards for this winter, with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Barcelona learning how they need to strengthen…

1) Dani Alves (Barcelona to Chelsea)

A move that has been talked up a lot in recent days, Dani Alves to Chelsea makes perfect sense this January as the Blues seek a replacement for Branislav Ivanovic, and it is thought that Alves could be made available as Aleix Vidal becomes first choice at the Nou Camp.

2) Daniele Rugani (Juventus to Arsenal)

Linked strongly with Arsenal in recent times, Daniele Rugani is seemingly available for around £13m this winter – an amount even the Gunners might be willing to pay after being criticised for a lack of summer transfers.

3) Emmanuel Adebayor (Unattached to Watford)

Currently training with Watford, all signs point towards Emmanuel Adebayor joining the newly-promoted side as he is likely to want to stay in London.

4) Nolito (Celta Vigo to Barcelona)

A long-term target for Barcelona, Celta Vigo forward Nolito has impressed hugely in La Liga in recent times and would be an ideal squad player to replace Pedro.

5) Jesus Navas (Manchester City to Barcelona)

Another signing that makes perfect sense, Jesus Navas is not always a regular for Manchester City and could welcome the chance to return to his native Spain.

6) Isco (Real Madrid to Arsenal)

In and out of the Real Madrid team, Isco has been linked with a move to Arsenal as well as other transfers and it looks like this long-awaited deal could finally go through.

7) Nicolas Nkloulou (Marseille to Chelsea)

The defender Chelsea need right now, Nicolas Nkloulou has become the latest target for Jose Mourinho as he eyes a cheap alternative to Everton’s John Stones.

8) Victor Valdes (Manchester United to Chelsea)

A very typical Mourinho-style move, Victor Valdes would be a great stop-gap signing for Chelsea as they cope with a lengthy injury to Thibaut Courtois.

9) Simone Zaza (Juventus to Arsenal)

Linked repeatedly with Arsenal after a failed deadline day move in the summer, Simone Zaza would make sense for the Gunners as they try to improve their options in attack on the cheap.

10) Thiago Alcantara (Bayern Munich to Manchester City)

A fine playmaker, Bayern Munich star Thiago Alcantara is in good form at the moment but could leave for the right price due to his injury record, with Manchester City eyeing him as a cheap alternative to Paul Pogba.
