Tottenham 3-8 Man City: Combined XI of this weekend’s Premier League opponents, with no room for Harry Kane

Tottenham & Man City combined XI – which three Spurs stars made the cut?

A look at a Tottenham and Manchester City combined XI as the two teams prepare to meet in this Saturday’s early kickoff in the Premier League, with only three Spurs stars making the cut…

GK: Hugo Lloris (Tottenham)

Arguably better than Joe Hart at the moment, Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris narrowly gets the nod in our combined XI.

DR: Bacary Sagna (Manchester City)

In superb form this season, there’s no doubt either of City’s right-backs, be it Bacary Sagna or Pablo Zabaleta, would be in ahead of any of Tottenham’s options.

DL: Aleksandar Kolarov (Manchester City)

Ben Davies may be doing well for Spurs so far, but Manchester City left-back Aleksandar Kolarov is on top of his game right now and thoroughly deserves his spot.

DC: Jan Vertonghen (Tottenham)

An underrated Premier League star, Jan Vertonghen has been immense for Tottenham since he joined and continues to shine this season.

MC: Fernandinho (Manchester City)

A surprise performer for City, Fernandinho has been a fine box-to-box player in midfield for City and is some distance ahead of Spurs’ options in that area.

MC: Yaya Toure (Manchester City)

One of the best midfielders in the world, Yaya Toure has been consistently world class for City for much of his Premier League career and is comfortably in this combined XI.

AMR: Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City)

City’s record signing, Kevin De Bruyne has made a terrific start at the Etihad Stadium and looks a good bet to make our combined XI.

AML: Son Heung-min (Tottenham)

Another new signing this summer, Son Heung-min has been tremendous so far for Tottenham and looks capable of becoming one of the best players in this league.

AMC: David Silva (Manchester City)

A great playmaker for many years now, David Silva is an obvious choice in the number ten role after a fine start to the season for in-form City.

FC: Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)

One of the very best strikers in the world, Sergio Aguero has shone up front for City and concludes our predicted line up, which finds no room for out-of-form Harry Kane.
