With rumours linking Chelsea star Eden Hazard with a big move to Real Madrid either in January or next summer, here’s a look at five Bernabeu stars the Blues should try to bring to Stamford Bridge as part of the deal…
1) Gareth Bale
An ideal signing for Chelsea in attack, Gareth Bale may be an ambitious target, but there’s no doubt he’d be superb replacing Hazard on the Blues’ left-hand side.
2) Isco
Another playmaker who could go some way to filling Hazard’s role or others in Chelsea’s midfield, Isco is a superb talent who could be available.
3) Karim Benzema
With Diego Costa, Loic Remy and Radamel Falcao so poor this season, Chelsea could do well to bring in a new striker and target Karim Benzema in any deal involving Hazard.
4) Toni Kroos
With Cesc Fabregas looking past his best, Chelsea could revive their interest in Real Madrid midfield pass-master Toni Kroos, who was linked with the Blues before they signed the Spaniard instead.
5) Raphael Varane
A young defender that Mourinho knows well, Real Madrid starlet Raphael Varane is another good option for Chelsea to consider in a swap deal for Hazard, with John Terry in need of replacing.
