Arsenal transfers: Five Arsenal players who could leave if they drop out of Champions League, including Sanchez & Ozil

Five Arsenal stars who’d surely leave if they drop out of the Champions League.

Arsenal news today suggests that Alexis Sanchez is not happy at the club after their poor performances in the Champions League. With a group stage exit now looking more than likely, and a top four spot far from guaranteed, here’s a look at five players the Gunners would surely lose if they dropped out of Europe’s top club competition…

1) Alexis Sanchez

Arsenal’s best player, Alexis Sanchez would be a huge loss if he did leave the Emirates Stadium, but it would be hard to keep the former Barcelona man without Champions League football or the prospect of major trophies.

2) Mesut Ozil

Another big name who would surely walk out in search of Champions League football, Mesut Ozil has not really done enough for Arsenal and his exit may actually be a blessing in disguise.

3) Theo Walcott

Despite some injury problems and patchy form, Theo Walcott has shown himself to be a reliable performer for Arsenal this season and is another star name who’d surely want to be playing Champions League football.

4) Santi Cazorla

One of Arsenal’s best players in 2015, Santi Cazorla deserves better than this disappointing Gunners side and is another name the club would find hard to keep if they weren’t competing with the best in Europe.

5) Petr Cech

Despite only joining Arsenal from Chelsea this summer, Petr Cech won’t want to be wasting any time in the latter years of his career, and could seek a quick exit from the Emirates Stadium if Champions League football is no longer on offer.
