Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has discussed his retirements plans ahead of his side’s crunch fixture against Manchester United on Sunday.
The 65-year-old Frenchman has been in charge of Arsenal since 1996 and has been under-fire in recent seasons after a lengthy period without securing a Premier League title and Wenger has opened up this weekend with regards to his long-term future at the Emirates Stadium.
“I’m always scared as I’ve heard so many times people say ‘next year I will retire’ and then they continue or go somewhere else.
“I think it can be more instinctive and impulsive than that. One thing is for sure, when I retire, I will really retire.”
Wenger stated in quotes reported by The Sun.

Wenger feels that by announcing a retirement date you risk losing the dressing room but the Arsenal manager moved to suggest that Man United manager Louis van Gaal would not suffer this predicament, stating;
“Louis’ kind of personality means he will be respected but I’ll be more instinctive.”
64-year-old Dutchman Van Gaal has confirmed he plans on retiring from the game at the end of the 2016/17 campaign.
