Liverpool to upset rivals Arsenal & Man Utd in January raid to sign £72m Serie A duo

Liverpool ready to spend big on exciting Serie A pair.

Liverpool could be plotting some major moves for the January transfer window as they reportedly line up a double raid on Italy’s Serie A, according to recent speculation.

The Reds need strengthening after a poor start to the season, and manager Brendan Rodgers will look to two top talents from the Italian league to improve his attacking options.

Having lost big names like Luis Suarez and Raheem Sterling in the last two summers, Liverpool now hope to replace them with this £72m-rated duo:

1) Gonzalo Higuain (Napoli)

Valued at a staggering £60m or so, Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain is on Liverpool’s agenda again after also being linked recently with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United. The Argentine international may not quite be Suarez quality, but his goal record is excellent and he’d surely fit in well in the Premier League.
