Liverpool prepare £35m move for Bundesliga hot-shot

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has ordered his Anfield board to make a £35m bid for Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang according to the Metro.

Klopp brought Aubameyang to the Westfalenstadion back in July 2013 and the Gabon international has proven a big hit in the German top tier.

In his first two campaign the former Saint-Etienne man bagged 42 goals in 94 appearances and this season has proven his most prolific to date, the lanky striker netting 14 goals in 13 matches.

Liverpool have scored just eight goals in eight Premier League matches this season and as such it’s no surprise that Klopp would be eyeing up a fresh option to boost his options in the final third and Aubameyang has the physical presence to make a real impact in the Premier League though one imagines Borussia Dortmund would resist offers from the Merseyside outfit.

Liverpool brought in Christian Benteke and Danny Ings to beef up their attack over the summer and both players have looked fairly impressive when called upon and Daniel Sturridge looks as though he is getting back to his best but there’s no doubting that Aubameyang could offer Klopp an additional threat to help in his side’s push for a top four berth.
