Arsenal Vs Bayern Munich: Petr Cech to start crucial Champions League tie

Petr Cech is set to start Arsenal’s crunch Champions League tie with Bayern Munich on Tuesday night according to the Daily Mirror.

Colombian David Ospina has started both of Arsenal’s previous Champions League clashes, against Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiakos, and dropped a real clanger in the second of those two defeats and Gunners fans appeared keen to see Cech take his place in the competition.

Now that decision has been made easier for Arsene Wenger as Ospina is said to be out of contention for the fixture as he has a shoulder problem.

Arsenal have hit a good run of form domestically, winning their last three matches by a margin of three goals apiece, but they will come up against the most in-form team in European football when they face Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich.

Pep Guardiola have won both their opening Champions League fixtures and have a 100% record in the Bundesliga, having won nine games on the trot, and in Robert Lewandowski they have perhaps the most in-form striker in world football.
