Arsenal predicted XI vs Bayern Munich: Campbell to continue as big performances required

Injuries have perhaps robbed Arsenal the chance to mix up their line up for the upcoming clash with Bayern, especially given that it’s North London Derby day at the weekend.

Last time out Arsenal ran out surprise 2-0 winners against the Bundesliga champions, and Arsenal will now do well to be wary of a backlash.

Wenger seems to already be preparing for this by saying: “I would sign today to take a point but to sit off Bayern. But with their offensive quality, that would be difficult to maintain for 90 minutes.

“We have to relieve the pressure whenever we can and try to score goals. That is the structure of our team, to attack.”

However, with the attacking talent at their disposal, Arsenal will be more than capable of causing Bayern problems again. See how they could line up below…

GK: Petr Cech

Even if he were fit, it’s unlikely that David Ospina would be trusted for such a fixture.

RB: Hector Bellerin

Arsenal will be reliant on his pace and tenacity to provide an attacking threat and keep them safe at the back.

CBs: Laurent Koscielny & Per Mertesacker

Arsenal’s favoured centre-back partnership are back and they’ll look to keep things air tight.

LB: Nacho Monreal

The Spaniard has been in fantastic form recently, so there’s no need to take him out just yet.

CMs: Francis Coquelin & Santi Cazorla

Coquelin will be the lynchpin that allows Cazola to probe forward and much of the result will depend on how they perform.

RW: Joel Campbell

Campbell rose to the challenge set to him by Wenger at the weekend, and another good performance here could gives his chances of an extended stay in the starting line up a huge boost.

LW: Alexis Sanchez

October’s Player of the Month has shown no signs of slowing down as his year of non-stop football continues.

AM: Mesut Ozil

Ozil’s form has seen a sharp upturn recently, and he’ll need to continue that into this game.

ST: Olivier Giroud

The Frenchman has silenced his critics lately, but this could be a night of half chances, so he’ll need to be ready for anything that comes his way.
