This may come as a surprise, but without a goalkeeper you’ll have a hard time stopping the opponent from scoring goals. If you lose your starting stopper in Football Manager 2016 it would behoove you to have a young, solid second option ready to step in and either thrive right away (Gianluigi Donnarumma) or grow into the position (Vanja Savic).
