Arsenal transfer rumours roundup: Latest Gunners transfer gossip, Man United and Liverpool targets wanted

If Arsenal are to mount a credible title challenge this season, Arsene Wenger will surely need to invest in his squad in January.

The Gunners have started the season well, and are neck and neck with leaders Manchester City, but once again the North London heavyweights are struggling with an injury crisis.

The likes of Jack Wilshere, Danny Welbeck, Hector Bellerin and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have all spent time on the sidelines this term, and Wenger will be aware of the danger of a mid-season stutter.

Oguzhan Ozyakup

Over the last few weeks and months, Arsenal have been linked with a move for their former starlet Oguzhan Ozyakup.

However, while the Besiktas man and Turkey international would be an excellent addition to the Gunners’ midfield, he has confirmed that he is not looking to leave Istanbul in mid-season.

Jorginho

The agent of Napoli midfielder Jorginho has revealed that the Gunners have sent scouts to watch the 23-year-old in action this season, ahead of a potential January move.

The Brazilian carries a £22 million price tag—which might represent a stretch for a relatively untested player—while Liverpool, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are all understood to be keen on the player.

Michy Batshuayi

The Gunners have been linked with a move for Olympique de Marseille forward Michy Batshuayi in recent weeks, with the Belgian forward tipped for a move to the Premier League.

However, while the ex-Standard Liege hitman may soon be making the switch to London, he may end up at Chelsea rather than Arsenal.

The Pensioners are also keen on the £24.5 million-rated striker according to Fichajes, and Arsenal may struggle to compete with their affluent city rivals.

Daniele Rugani

Arsenal are also understood to be planning to compete with Manchester United for the signing of Italy U-21 defender Daniele Rugani.

The stopper has found it hard to break into Juventus’ starting XI this season after making the move from Empoli during the summer, and is keen to secure a move away—albeit on a temporary basis—in order to get some regular minutes.

Nikola Vlasic

Arsenal are understood to be intensifying their efforts to sign Croatian winger Nikola Vlasic who represents Hajduk Split.

The18-year-old precocious talent has already represented Croatia’s U-21 side, although the Gunners look set to face competition from Inter Milan for the wideman.
