Chelsea target Kelechi Nwakali says he prefers a transfer to Arsenal – because the Gunners play much better football, the Metro reports.

Nwakali has been linked with both Premier League sides and also had a trial at Manchester City after sparkling for Nigeria at the Under-17 World Cup.

Arsenal and Liverpool have been told they must pay £42m to sign Europe’s top goalscorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the Daily Express reports.

The 26-year-old has scored 22 goals in 20 matches so far this campaign for Dortmund leading to the likes of Barcelona, Arsenal and Liverpool all being linked with Aubameyang.

One Arsenal fan wants 599,999 others to help crowdfund weekly wages for Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, according to the Daily Mirror.

Matt Clark (the fan in question) seemed to think Arsenal’s famously frugal manager might baulk at such an outlay. Accordingly, he’s come up with a scheme to pay Messi’s weekly wages. All he needs is 599,999 other Arsenal fans to help him out with an apparently straightforward crowd funding project.

Tottenham star Jamie Redknapp has warned Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere that he risks losing his place in the England side to Spurs star Eric Dier, the Daily Star reports.

Dier, 21, has been a revelation for the north Londoners this season and has become an integral part of Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
