Arsenal predicted XI vs West Bromwich Albion: Giroud will shine with Alexis needing a rest

Given what’s happened in his native France over the past week, it’s safe to say that Arsenal star Olivier Giroud will be motivated to play out of his mind for as many minutes as Arsene Wenger gives him. With five goals in his last seven appearances for Arsenal, Giroud has been in top form and should be counted on to continue his scoring ways – especially with injuries mounting in the front and middle.

Luckily for Giroud and the Gunners, with Alexis Sanchez needing rest and West Bromwich Albion as the opponent, he could very well get his chance on Saturday.

Here is the Arsenal predicted XI for their match against West Bromwich Albion:

GK Petr Cech

No brainer here. Cech is one shutout away from tying the all-time clean sheets record in Premier League history. Whether he can get it against West Brom of all teams is another story though.

DF Nacho Monreal

Playing the left back very well this season.

DF Per Mertesacker

No recent problems for Mertesacker would indicate a change.

DF Gabriel

Gabriel will likely be starting in place of Laurent Koscielny, who is believed to be in distress following the attacks in France.

DF Hector Bellerin

The top defensive candidate for the Golden Boy Award should shine again this week.

MF Santi Cazorla

Will likely be asked to play a more attacking role this week, but Cazorla should be up to the task.

MF Mathieu Flamini

Dropping into a central midfield role, Flamini should have no problems.

MF Francis Coquelin

Could enjoy great chemistry with Flamini at central midfield.

MF Joel Campbell

Perhaps Campbell can replicate some of that magic from his season debut just a few weeks ago.

MF Mesut Ozil

Can Ozil maintain his streak of contributed goals? We’ll find out this week.

FW Olivier Giroud

A win against West Brom could very well let Arsenal finish the weekend as the No. 1 team in the Premier League. Giroud will shine.
