Chelsea transfer gossip: Mourinho facing Man United competition for key target; chances of Hazard departure revealed

1. Man United to hijack John Stones transfer?

Despite making several offers to Everton in exchange for rising star John Stones, Manchester United have been scouting the young defender closely and Louis van Gaal is reportedly willing to make a deal for him next summer.

2. Jose Mourinho’s January transfer plan includes… 

Nothing. The Chelsea boss said in his Friday press conference that he is satisfied with the current team and has no plans to make any significant changes or spend a lot of money in the January transfer window.

3. Eden Hazard increasingly likely to leave Stamford Bridge

Transfer expert David Amoyal told ESPN that there is around a 40% chance that reigning Premier League Player of the Year Eden Hazard will leave Chelsea within the year.

However, Amoyal noted that there is only about a 10% chance he leaves in January.

4. Jose Mourinho’s exit blocked off

Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc has reportedly begun talks about a contract extension, which if completed would cut off one possible destination for Mourinho should he decide to leave Chelsea voluntarily.

However, Inter Milan still remains a possibility, per the Independent.

5. Boca Juniors star on Mourinho’s radar

Chelsea are reportedly looking to make an offer to Boca Juniors – not for Carlos Tevez – but for star forward Jonathan Calleri.

The 22-year-old starlet has scored eight times in his last 14 appearances in Argentina’s Primeira Division.
