The last time Sergio Aguero was seen at Etihad Stadium, he was finishing off a five-goal performance against Newcastle United that put him firmly in the driver’s seat for a second straight Golden Boot Award. However, an injury sidelined Aguero for over a month – but now he’s back and ready to go.
While Aguero has made his big return though, the news has been all abuzz about the grudge match between Raheem Sterling and Liverpool, his former club.
A disgruntled Sterling demanded Liverpool sell him during the offseason, a request Man City were quick to make a reality with the largest transfer for an English player in Premier League history. Several months later, it looks like the Citizens may have actually gotten a major discount.

GK Joe Hart
He’s made a few too many bone-headed mistakes these last few weeks, but Hart is nowhere close to seeing the bench.
DF Aleksandar Kolarov
Can Kolarov return to his early-season form and get a big win over Liverpool?
DF Eliaquim Mangala
With Vincent Kompany hurting, it’s Mangala’s duty to pick up the slack.
DF Nicolas Otamendi
Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne were slam-dunk transfers, but Otamendi has earned his salary too.
DF Pablo Zabaleta
Finally earning the nod is Zabaleta on the right side.
MF Raheem Sterling
No one should really expect a rare three-goal performance, but Sterling will probably make his former teammates hurt. A lot.
MF Fernandinho
Though he hasn’t contributed to a Premier League goal in nearly three months, Fernandinho has been controlling the ball like a mastermind.
MF Yaya Toure
Having a solid season in place of David Silva, Toure is doing everything asked of him and more.
MF Jesus Navas
In spite of a poor showing against Aston Villa a few weeks ago, Navas has still been a very consistent attacking midfielder.
MF Kevin De Bruyne
What people may not remember from Man City’s 6-1 win over Newcastle United was that De Bruyne had the sixth goal.
FW Sergio Aguero
Healthy and ready to go once again. Is Kun Aguero ready to pick up where he left off?
