Manchester City Player Ratings vs. Juventus: Match Report & Video Highlights as Pellegrini’s boys come unstuck in Europe once again

Manchester City‘s Champions League struggles continued as they fell to a 1-0 defeat away at Juventus on Wednesday.

Mario Mandzukic opened the scoring in the 18th minute of an ill-tempered affair, and while City had their chances, they were unable to breach the Old Lady-an improving force in Serie A in recent weeks following their own miserable start to the season.

Fernando and Raheem Sterling will be particularly disappointed at having missed fine chances to equalise for the visitors, as Pellegrini’s side cede the initiative in their Champions League group.

Here are the Manchester City Player Ratings following their 1-0 defeat by Juventus.

Injured in the first half, an his mobility, and perhaps, his confidence, was clearly affected.

Strong showing towards the end of the match, but Yaya was eclipsed by Juve’s midfielders-notably Paul Pogba-during the first 45 minutes.

For all his energy, bustle and style, there was precious little in the way of end product from De Bruyne.

Not quite at his best, and snatched at his half chances. Replaced with over 20 minutes still to play.
